I finally scheduled that heating system service I've been putting off. The furnace was making weird clanking sounds and the pilot light kept going out. The technician came out, cleaned the burner assembly, replaced a faulty thermocouple, and checked the heat exchanger. Now it runs smoothly and my energy bills should drop. Definitely glad I caught it before winter really sets in. heating system service
